About Our Founder
Dr. Bassirou Aidara
Founder & Executive Director, Aidara Global Health Foundation
Dr. Bassirou Aidara is a medical doctor and public health officer based in Dakar, Senegal. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD) and a postgraduate qualification in Health and Environment. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Global Health Systems and Policy.
With over seven years of diverse professional experience, Dr. Aidara has worked in various medical contexts, combining clinical expertise, community engagement, and organizational leadership. As Director of Clinique Cherif Moulaye Aidara, he has overseen local health delivery while advancing the foundation’s mission of equitable care.
